Rihanna’s gearing up for the launch of her new haircare line while rocking her most natural look yet.
On Sunday, June 9, the singer, mom and beauty mogul, 36, ditched the wigs and stepped out in New York City with her short, natural curls.
Marking a departure from the golden blonde waves and bangs she debuted in April and the long braids she wore on June 6, the “Lift Me Up” singer’s shorter hairstyle was still dyed her signature caramel shade.
Rihanna paired her ‘do with black pants and a fur coat layered over a tank top with a neckline low enough to reveal her lace bra underneath. She accessorized with layered necklaces, hoop earrings, sunglasses and a Louis Vuitton graffiti bag.
Fenty Hair will officially launch on June 13 and is marketed as a “flexible line of products” made for strengthening and repairing all hair types.
According to the brand’s Instagram page, which has already racked up over 150K followers, the products will be formulated with a “Replicore 5” proprietary complex clinically tested to repair, strengthen, hydrate, smooth and protect hair while also conditioning the scalp.
The 9-time Grammy winner announced her new venture last week on Instagram with a campaign video in which she rocks a blonde pixie cut.
“You know how much switching my hair up matters to me. I’ve had almost every texture, color, length, from weaves to braids to natural,” she wrote in the caption of what inspired her to foray into the hair category after seven (and counting) years dominating the makeup and skincare spaces.
In a second teaser video,Rihanna shared: “Hair has always been very personal to me. It’s an outlet of self-expression, creativity. I feel like it’s also been markers of my evolution and growth over the years both as an artist and as a person.”
Fans can get exclusive early access to shop on June 10 at 8 PM PST by signing up on the Fenty Beauty website.
