Newly inaugurated governor of Rivers state, Sim Fubara, has been criticised on Twitter after he tweeted that his state is a ‘’Christian state” and will stay strong to its Christian values.
Posting his official photo portrait on his Twitter handle, Governor Fubara wrote;
‘’Rivers State is a Christian State, and God is our foundation. We shall govern with the fear of God and stay strong to our Christian values of trust, faith, love, care and sacrifice.”
Some Nigerians felt his Tweet not necessary. They argue that he should focus on good governance and how to serve residents of the state well instead of talks about religion.
