A senior doctor forced himself on a nurse after he took advantage as she was left her on her own in charge of a ward.

Dr Christian Hanson, 65, grabbed the nurse in a hospital side room in a 3am encounter during a night shift, a tribunal heard.

The nurse told how he grabbed her by the hips and ”clamped” his knees around her legs after he followed her from a reception area into a consultation office.

She said Hanson pushed his body against her, whispered in her ear and placed his hands on her bottom as she was searching for keys to a medication cabinet.

He told her he ‘missed her’ and added: ”Can I see you outside of work?”

The unnamed woman managed to break free and walked passed patients in a waiting area before fleeing to a nearby ladies toilet where she burst into tears.
