Snoop Dogg is taking his talents to the NFL!

The hip-hop legend has been tapped to host NFL Honors on Thursday, Feb. 6, at the Saenger Theater in New Orleans. The primetime awards special will recognize the NFL’s best players, performances and plays from the 2024 season ahead of the 2025 Super Bowl, according to a news release shared with us.

The NFL Honors, which first began in 2012, will include a myriad of awards, from the prestigious Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award to announcing the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2024 — along with multiple awards from the Associated Press, such as the AP Comeback Player of the Year, AP Coach of the Year and AP Most Valuable Player.

Snoop Dogg, 52, charmed audiences worldwide last summer when he acted as one of the hosts for NBC’s coverage of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Before offering his takes on the events on the world’s biggest sports stage, Snoop also carried the Olympic torch on its final leg before the Paris opening ceremony.

After becoming a highlight of the Paris Olympics, Snoop spoke withus and said the experience was completely unexpected.

“Never, never, never,” Snoop said in September. “Not that I couldn’t or wouldn’t, but it was never in my things to do because it was beyond me.”

“Over the years I felt like I positioned myself for this,” he said of being asked to be a commentator for the Paris Olympics. “Showing I’m reliable, professional, that I know what I’m doing, and people love to see me.”

The NFL Honors will air live at 9 p.m. ET on FOX and NFL Network, and stream on NFL+.
