Bosses were plunged into chaos after Motsi was forced to self-isolate at home following an “urgent” trip to Germany – but Anton Du Beke has stepped in to replace her on the panel
Strictly Come Dancing ‘s professional dancer Anton Du Beke is set to snag a seat on the judging panel this weekend to fill in for Motsi Mabuse.
Bosses were plunged into a last-minute shake-up after Motsi was forced to self-isolate at home following an “urgent” trip to Germany.
As a result she will not be in the studio for at least two weeks until her quarantine period is over, missing the next couple of live shows.
And it seems the first choice for execs was to have Anton replace her, given his extensive professional dance background and familiarity with the show.
In a statement, the show said: “We are pleased to announce that the King of Ballroom Anton du Beke is stepping into our Judging panel this weekend.
“Good luck Anton!”
