The family of a 2-year-old Texas girl says she was mauled to death by three Rottweilers at her babysitter’s house. Now, the dogs are reportedly being tested for rabies.

According to a GoFundMe page in memory of A’Daya Rain Fisher, on Monday, July 29, in Houston, the little girl “was mauled by three Rottweilers” while at her babysitter’s home. The authorities and paramedics responded immediately but were unsuccessful in reviving the toddler, who eventually succumbed to her injuries, according to the GoFundMe.

Fisher was remembered on the page as a “beautiful, sweet little girl,” with a “bright smile and infectious laughter.”

The GoFundMe will assist with funeral expenses along with other costs related to the tragedy.

The Rottweilers, meanwhile, have been euthanized, according to local news affiliate FOX 26 Houston, and their specimens were sent to a lab to be tested for rabies. The outlet reports that authorities will not press charges.

USA Today and the Austin AmericanStatesman also reported the news of the attack.

In an interview with FOX 26, A’Daya’s mother, Daja Pringle, said her daughter “was a light to everybody, my family, to everyone that met her, she was a gift. She was a temporary gift.”

Pringle is also hoping to set up a foundation in Fisher’s memory to raise awareness about dog attacks in the hopes of preventing them, the outlet reported.
