A Texas woman was arrested after she allegedly tied up a 7-year-old, locking the child inside a dog cage next to a Christmas tree for multiple hours without access to food or water, according to authorities.
Police say that while the young child was locked in the dog cage, constrained by zip ties, the woman kicked her and duct taped her mouth shut, according to court documents viewed by PEOPLE. The documents also allege the child urinated on herself because she was left without access to a bathroom for several consecutive hours.
The suspect, 55-year-old Rose Anderson of Houston, appeared before the Harris County Magistrate on Sunday, Dec. 22, where she was charged with injury to a child and unlawful restraint.
The woman’s bond was set at $10,000, court documents indicate.
The woman is currently being held at Baker Street Jail in Houston, according to court records. She is set to next appear in court on Jan. 6.
