The London mansion, which was used as the set of the 1990s TV show, has hit the market for a whopping £5.75 million almost 30 years since The Big Breakfast went off air
The iconic mansion that was used to film The Big Breakfast has been put up for sale for £5.75 million.
After being purchased by TV production company Planet24 in 1992, the house in Bow, East London was given a makeover to transform it into the set for the 1990s show.
The Channel 4 show – the brainchild of Bob Geldof – launched in September that year, hosted Chris Evans and Gaby Roslin, and filming took place both in the house itself and in the grounds.
It was the location for celebrity interviews and wacky stunts, and continued to be used as the set right up until The Big Breakfast went off air in 2002.
The house itself is made up of three former lockkeeper’s cottages, which were transformed into one large house as part of a £2 million makeover.
