Gladys Lewis, 74, died early on Thursday, October 29, at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital in South Wales, with her Dean, 44, and his brother Darren, 42, dying in the same week
Three members of the same family have died with coronavirus in what has been described as a “nightmare” tragedy.
Gladys Lewis, 74, died early on Thursday, October 29, at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital in south Wales, and her Dean, 44, died at home in Treorchy the following day.
Tragically Dean’s brother Darren, 42, passed away on Monday – with all three deaths confirmed as coronavirus related.
Friends of the family Alison Higgins and Jemma Hopkins set up a fundraising page to help Gladys’ husband David, 81, reports Wales Online.
Alison, from Treorchy, said: “As one of Debbie’s friends, there was no question that they needed help, financially and emotionally from our community.
“This is the stuff of nightmares, it’s incomprehensible what’s happened. Knowing how much fundraising the family have done over the years, it was only right we came together for them.
