Tiger Woods is officially set to make his way back to the green.

After taking some time to mourn his mother, Kultida Woods, who died earlier this month at 81 years old, the golfer, 49, will compete at a TGL match on Tuesday, Feb. 18, according to a schedule shared on the league’s official website.

The match will be Tiger’s first since his mother’s death, which prompted the athlete to withdraw from the 2025 Genesis Invitational. TGL, also known as Tomorrow’s Golf League, was founded by Tiger and fellow golfer Rory McIlroy.

“I’m just not ready,” Tiger wrote in a Feb. 10 Instagram post ahead of the Genesis event.

“I did my best to prepare, knowing it’s what my Mom would have wanted, but I’m still processing her loss,” he continued. “Thanks to everyone who has reached out. I hope to be at Torrey later in the week and appreciate the continued kindness since my Mom’s passing.”

Tiger was also scheduled to compete at the Torrey Pines Golf Course in La Jolla, Calif. on Feb. 13, but his plans seemingly changed after his mother’s passing on Feb. 4.

“It is with heartfelt sadness that I want to share that my dear mother Kultida Woods, passed away early this morning. My Mom was a force of nature all her own, her spirit was simply undeniable,” Tiger announced on X.

He added: “She was quick with the needle and a laugh. She was my biggest fan, greatest supporter, without her none of my personal achievements would have been possible. She was loved by so many, but especially by her two grandchildren, Sam and Charlie. Thank you all for your support, prayers and privacy at this difficult time for me and my family. Love you Mom.”

Tiger may not have participated in the Genesis Invitational — which took place on Sunday, Feb. 16 — but he did make an appearance during the event and spoke to reporters about his mother’s death.

“It’s been a tough process to go through,” Tiger said at the Invitational, according to CNN. “But I’ve had amazing family support, all the players playing here have reached out. The amount of texts, emails and nice messages of support I’ve got has really helped and has really meant a lot to me.”

“Mom would take me to every junior event here in Southern California,” he added. “She would drive out there and keep score, walk every hole and how many putts I hit, how many fairways I hit, how many greens I hit. She tracked it all. Losing her has been a very hard and difficult process to go through.”

The PGA Tour honored Tiger’s mom at the tournament by switching out the seventh hole pin flag on the course with an all-white flag, per ESPN. The white flag and its placement was a nod to Kultida’s belief in Buddhism, in which white symbolizes clarity and purity.

All players in the tournament also sported a red tribute pin in their hats, which were adorned with the Thai symbol for love, according to CNN.

Tiger is now set to play at the TGL match on Tuesday, Feb. 18 at SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. The pro golfer will play first for Jupiter Links GC against New York Golf Club.

His mom was in the crowd supporting him the last time his team competed at a TGL match, per ESPN.
