Nigeria has finally gotten its first medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
Ese Brume, who specializes in the long jump claimed a bronze medal after finishing third in the women’s long jump event in the early hours of Tuesday, August 3.
Brume leapt 6.97 metres with her very first jump to claim bronze behind second-placed Brittany Reece of the United States and gold medallist Malaika Mihambo of Germany.
The 25-year-old was smiles as she received her bronze medal from an official.
