McCall, 57, who is widely known in the U.K. for hosting numerous TV shows including the British version of Big Brother, is out of ICU and “loving awareness” according to her partner Michael Douglas, who shared an update on her Instagram account on Monday, Nov. 18, following her recent brain surgery to remove a tumor.

“Update folks. Thanks so much to all the well-wishers. ❤️❤️❤️,” Douglas, 49, wrote. “She really has made an enormous leap forward in the last 24 hours. She is out of ICU She is “loving awareness” ❤️🌈🪐🌎💥💕 Thank you xx Michael.”

In a previous update shared by Douglas after McCall’s surgery on Friday, Nov. 15, he wrote that she was “currently recovering in the ICU as a precaution,” and that “she’s utterly exhausted.” He added that the pair were “super grateful” following the surgery.

McCall revealed that she would be having brain surgery after a recent scan picked up that she had a “very rare” brain tumor in a pre-recorded video posted on Instagram on Nov. 15.

“A few months ago, I did a menopause talk for a company and they offered me a health scan in return, which I thought I was going to ace,” she said, speaking to the camera. “It turned out I had a benign brain tumor called a colloid cyst, which is very rare.”

McCall described the tumor as “14mm wide” and “big for the space” and that it occurs in “three in a million” people. After seeking out “quite a few neurosurgeons” and medical opinions she said she “realized that I have to get it taken out.”

“So, I’m having it removed via a craniotomy,” she explained in the video. “…So, say a prayer for me. I am in good spirits.”

Douglas, whom McCall has been dating since 2019 according to U.K. newspaper The Sun, added in the video that he “will have my eye on her” and that “she’s in very good hands.”

“Also… I’m okay. It’s been up and down, obviously. We’ve been through a lot,” McCall continued. She added that during her recovery, “I’m going to be in hospital for about nine days and then I’m going to be going home” and that she will be “off my phone for a while, so Michael might fill you in.”

“I’ll see you on the other side,” McCall concluded her video.

McCall is mom to daughters Holly, 23, and Tilly, 21, and son Chester, 18, whom she shares with her ex-husband Matthew Robertson. The pair split after 17 years of marriage in November 2017, per Hello! Magazine.
