A yellow warning has been issued for Cornwall and south Wales amid warnings that the downpour could cause flooding and travel disruption across the southwest.null
The rainfall is expected to last from 4pm on Wednesday until Thursday morning.
Forecasters also said there will be a 50% chance of rain in London and the south east for much of the day as a cool and cloudy weather front moves in.
The warning says: “There is a small chance of fast flowing or deep floodwater and some communities could be cut off by flooded roads
“There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings.
