Why Eat Nuts Is A Bad Idea & Makes You Fat

====================================
In this video I will tell you what nuts should you eat and why and what nuts you should avoid. I’ll also explain what nuts really are what’s the best way to eat them!

Most people consider nuts to be a healthy food and eat it as a healthy snack. Personally, as much as I love eating different types of nuts, I typically don’t and I don’t think most people should either… especially if your goal is to lose weight.

First, let’s remove two nuts that aren’t technically nuts and that’s peanuts and cashews.

Peanuts being the most popular nut and cashews being one of my favorites.

Both of these are actually part of the legume family and thus, they are BEANS and not nuts.

And the problem is they are high in lectins and can act as allergens for many people.

Lectins are known as “anti-nutrients” and are linked to obesity, chronic inflammation and autoimmune diseases.

So unfortunately, you should not eat these two nuts or legumes.

The skin of almonds are also high in lectins, so it should be removed before you eat almonds.

Nuts should also be eaten raw, not roasted and certainly nut fried in oils – which many “roasted” nuts are. Always read the labels.

However, the main problem I have with nuts is that they are very high in calories.

For example, 1 oz (28 gram) of raw almonds has about 170 calories, most of it coming from fat.

Depending on the size of the almond, small or large, that’s about 5-10 calories per almond.

It’s not much and if you’re like most people, including myself, you’ll end up eating a lot more.

Like chips, they can be addictive.

The truth is that most nuts have a lot of good nutrients, especially when eaten raw.

Unfortunately, because they are so high and dense in calories, you’ll end up eating much more than you had hoped or think you are and this typically ends up causing you to gain weight.

Granted, I would much rather you have raw nuts than oil. Eat macadamia nuts instead of macadamia nut oil.

The more natural the food, the better it is.
