A woman has recounted how she was robbed in Orile last night, November 11, by a machete-wielding robber.

She said she was walking to Orile bus stop when she saw people running. She started running too then stopped when she realized she didn’t know the reason for the race.

She said a machete-wielding man then approached her and attacked her with the weapon. He collected her bag containing lots of her belongings, including her goods.

She said while this attack was going on, people were passing by but no one intervened.

She had no more money on her as the robber had taken her money, so she had no idea what to do.

She claimed she soon saw a police officer and approached him but he aggressively dismissed her.

She said: “Approached this idiot police fool and lo and behold THIS MAN TOLD ME TO GET OUT, i was crying and he said comot for here u dey crase? Omo my tears began to come out more . I left and stood by the road, no phone to call anyone, no money how do i go home, i kept crying.”

A Good Samaritan later gave her 500 Naira when he saw her crying and that was how she got home.

She explained that she’s now suffering trauma and found it difficult to sleep.
