Like every movie industry around the world, actors and actresses in Nollywood occasionally find themselves playing the roles of husbands and wives in movies they feature in.

Sometimes, these pairings of on-screen relationships can become an epic fail while there are others that are completely believable by the audience.

For instance, casting directors in Nollywood have to put a lot of things into consideration if they are trying to present a young couple and hip in a movie or trying to match a middle-aged couple that can pass as grandparents.

Amidst the whole process, there have been some major wins by Nollywood casting directors when it comes to the marriage of actors and actresses on screen.

1)Falz and Funke Akindele aka Jenifa

It is safe to say that no pair comes close to these two when it comes to creating the characters of a funny couple. Falz who is a rapper is also known for introducing comic reliefs into his art and he is also known for flooding his IG page with short comedy clips.

Funke, on the other hand, made her stand as a comic star with her hugely successful movie, Jenifa. When Falz was introduced as her love interest in Jenifa’s Diaries, viewers of the comic series had no doubt that it was indeed a perfect match.

2)Adesua Etomi and Banky W

Movie lovers were left in awe after Mo Abudu’s Ebony Life Film announced the release of rom-com movie The Wedding Party featuring singer Banky W and Adesua Etomi.

The plot of the movie revolved around the two young lovers trying to get married and all the drama that comes with a typical wedding party in Lagos.

Not only were these two completely believable as a couple, but they also made fans envision a relationship between both of them off the cameras.

Well, it eventually turned out that Adesua said yes to Banky W!

3)Charles Inojie and Ada Ameh

For many who are fans of soap operas, the veteran Nollywood pair come off as one of the best on-screen couples for their role in The Johnsons.

The show has been running for years and the two movie stars have almost made some fans believe that they have an actual relationship going off the camera.
