6 people have been reported dead after the Lexus car they were celebrating was involved in a fatal accident in Delta state.

According to reports, the incident happened along the Agbarho-Ughelli section of the East-West Road near Ekiugbo Junction in Ughelli, North Local Government Area of the State.

It was gathered that the tragedy incident occurred 8:00 p.m on Friday when the occupants of the car rammed into a stationary truck parked along the road.

The victims, who were allegedly under the influence of substances, reportedly died on the spot after their vehicle rammed into the stationary truck.

Sources said one of the friends of the victims had just bought the Lexus GX 460 which caused the celebration.

Another source disclosed that “They were returning from a joint where they had gone to celebrate the arrival of the vehicle. The new vehicle rammed into a payloader truck along the expressway. The six of them died on the spot.”

Though as at the time of filing this report, police was yet to react or issue a statement on the incident.
