Adele is headed to Germany. As the U.K.-born songstress prepares to wrap up her Weekends With Adele residency in Las Vegas, Nevada, she’s now announcing her next batch of summer shows across the pond.

The 35-year-old superstar will give four performances at Munich Messe in an open-air, bespoke arena that is being created especially for the occasion. The one-of-a-kind venue will hold 80,000 people per night through a combination of seated grandstands and standing areas, according to a press release. She is set to perform on Aug. 2, 3, 9 and 10.

“So a few months ago I got a call about a summer run of shows,” Adele explained in an Instagram caption announcing the gig. “I’ve been content as anything with my shows in London’s Hyde Park and my residency in Vegas, so I hadn’t had any other plans. However, I was too curious to not follow up and indulge in this idea – a one off, bespoke pop-up stadium designed around whatever show I want to put on? Ohh!? Pretty much slap bang in the middle of Europe? In Munich? That’s a bit random, but still fabulous! Right after the Euros? Come on England! With the Olympics next door? Go on Simone! And some of my favourite artists playing shows too? Why…YES!! I haven’t played in Europe since 2016! I couldn’t think of a more wonderful way to spend my summer and end this beautiful phase of my life and career with shows closer to home during such an exciting summer. Guten Tag babes x.”

The news comes just after Adele suggested fans could expect her to hit the road again on a tour promoting her next album. However, she shared a fairly significant caveat in that it won’t be happening anytime soon — the new album or the accompanying tour.

“I just don’t think I’m going to write an album for quite some time,” Adele told concertgoers at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Saturday. “But next time I do, I’ll come to where ever it is that you live.”

The singer’s Weekends With Adeleresidency is set to come to an end in June, and the singer seemed somewhat wistful at the thought of wrapping up her shows.

“I’m gonna miss this so much,” she told the audience. “I really, really, really do love this show.”

Ticket registration for Adele’s Munich shows is now open on Adele.com, closing Monday, Feb. 5 at 6 p.m. CET. Following the registered fan pre-sale on Feb. 7, tickets will go on sale to the public on Feb. 9 at 10 a.m. CET.

Following her whirlwind Adele Live global trek in 2016 and 2017, the singer had previously said she wasn’t sure if she’d ever tour again.

“Touring is a peculiar thing, it doesn’t suit me particularly well,” she wrote at the time. “I’m a real homebody and I get so much joy in the small things. Plus I’m dramatic and have a terrible history of touring.”

“I only ever did this tour for you and to hopefully have an impact on you the way that some of my favorite artists have had on me live,” she added. “And I wanted my final shows to be in London because I don’t know if I’ll ever tour again, and so I want my last time to be at home.”

The “Easy on Me” singer went on to release her 30 album in November 2021, and opted to stay in one place for her Weekends With Adele residency. That show kicked off in November 2022 and will conclude on June 15.

Back in October, Adele got candid in an Instagram post about how much the residency has moved her to the point that she’s fallen back in love with performing live.

“This residency, these shows have changed my life. I desperately needed to fall back in love with performing live again, and I have,” the songstress said in a lengthy caption to a video montage showing highlights of her residency. “I needed to reconnect with my songs and remember what they mean to me, and I have! Being on stage over the last year so up close and personal with an audience again after all these years has been a truly extraordinary restorative experience that I’ll never forget.”
