Following the conclusion of the French football season due to Coronavirus, French football club, Bordeaux have announced Nigerian striker Josh Maja as it’s top scorer for the 2019/2020 season after the English born striker scored 8 goals in 24 appearances for the club.

The French government announced last week that sporting activities and leagues have been canceled for the rest of the season due to Coronavirus pandemic and clubs are now announcing winners of individual gongs and awards.

Maja who got his first Super Eagles call up in September 2019 for the friendly against Ukraine, was tied on 8 goals with two other players, but was given the award based on the fact that he had played less minutes than the two other players.
