Boris Johnson’s ex wife Marina Wheeler told Good Morning Britain it had been a “difficult and traumatic” couple of years but she was now free
Marina Wheeler, ex wife of Prime Minister Boris Johnson, appeared on Good Morning Britain where she said it had been a “difficult and traumatic” couple of years dealing with her divorce and cancer battle.
The 56-year-old was married to Boris from 1993-2020, and he has now moved on with fiance Carrie Symonds, 32, with whom he shares a baby son, Wilfred.
Marina was promoting her new book, The Lost Homestead: My Mother, the Partition and the Punjab, in which she references her marriage of 25 years collapsing six months into writing the book.
Speaking to hosts Ben Shephard and Susanna Reid, Marina revealed she has “found freedom” since her high-profile split.
“There is no getting away from the fact it’s been a very traumatic and difficult couple of years,” said Marina.
“Divorce, cancer, etc. Other people go through those things but I think so much in such a short space of time has been a great challenge.”
