Travelodge staff have shared guests’ most ridiculous requests including a room to store 200 butterflies, spare beds for imaginary friends and more downright strange demand

A spare bed for a child’s imaginary friend, a room in which to store 200 butterflies, and a ‘half pillow’ because the average pillow is too big; these are just some of the bizarre requests Travelodge staff have received over the last 12 months.

The budget hotel chain’s staff members are used to accommodating requests such as wake-up calls or extra towels, but now they’re spilling the beans on some of the outrageous demands they’ve faced.

In some cases, demands can be a little cheeky, but in others, they’re just downright ridiculous.

We’re talking guests who think the hotel receptionist can double up as their work secretary, brides and grooms hoping to get away with using their hotel as a storage facility, and some people with.. well, slightly worrying questions.
