Coronation Street has announced Summer Spellman’s return, but actress Matilda Freeman has been replaced by newcomer Harriet Bibby

Coronation Street will soon air the return of Summer Spellman, but she has a new face.

Actress Matilda Freeman has left her role on the ITV soap, with her character currently staying at her grandmother’s house.

Now, actress Harriet Bibby will take over the role of the teen as she heads back to the street in the coming weeks.

Amid the dramatic return of Todd Grimshaw, she will now come face-to-face with her former guardian after he fled in 2017.

Harriet was cast after Matilda made the decision to quit the role to pursue other opportunities.
