A father has been charged with shooting dead his daughter’s boyfriend before burying the young man’s body in concrete, Russian police have confirmed.
Vadim Tamkovich had been missing for a year and even his girlfriend’s dad, pensioner Vladimir Melnikov, joined in the search.
The 63-year-old has now been detained after confessing to murdering the 26-year-old before encasing him in concrete.
He claimed Tamkovich, a convicted robber, had domestically abused his daughter Zhanna Melnikova, 35, reports say.
Melnikov was detained a year after he allegedly killed and buried Vadim in a garage on Lenin Street in the village of Pervomayskoye, in Leningrad region of Russia.
