Andy Green, 53, refuses to back down after being told he was the victim of a ‘technical glitch’ – and that he wouldn’t be getting the £1,722,923.54 he thought he had won

Andy Green, 53, put his case forward at the Royal Courts of Justice

A gambler who ‘won’ £1.7m on blackjack but never received a penny today took his case to the High Court.

Andy Green, 53, was fighting a ‘David v Goliath’ battle against a betting giant Betfred.

He claims that he should have been paid £1,722,923.54 after playing Frankie Dettori’s Magic Seven game.

Instead, he faced a near three-year legal battle following the on-line win in Jan, 2018.

He had ‘gagging orders’ offered to him if he was prepared to accept £30,000, then £60,000 in return for signing non-disclosure agreements.

The panel beater of Washingborough, Lincs, told how he celebrated for five days before a call from Betfred claiming he was the victim of a ‘technical glitch’.
