Danielle Armstrong thanked Ferne McCann for helping her prepare for childbirth on Ferne’s ITVBe show First Time Mum on Sunday night

Danielle Armstrong has praised Ferne McCann for being a good friend – and for “saving her vagina”.

The former TOWIE stars talked motherhood and giving birth during Ferne’s ITVBe show First Time Mum on Sunday night.

New mum Danielle, 32, gave birth to her baby daughter Orla Mae five months ago and has revealed that Ferne, 30, gave her some very useful advice.

She said: “I’d done my pelvic floor but I didn’t even tear. She was 8lbs 11, bear in mind, and I had a natural and I didn’t tear.

“But I’d done the thing…the perineal massage.”

Earlier this year on the same programme Ferne had advised Danielle to massage the area between her vagina and bottom to stretch out her muscles.
