Actor Dominic West has insisted that his marriage to wife Catherine is “strong” after he was caught on camera kissing actress Lily James in Rome

Dominic West has hit out at rumours his marriage is on the rocks after he was pictured kissing actress Lily James.

The actor said his marriage to wife Catherine FitzGerald is “strong” in a defiant note as they were pictured together giving a statement to the press outside their Wiltshire home.

As they walked side by side, she was seen carrying a hand-written note which read: “Our marriage is strong and we’re very much still together. Thank you.”

It was signed by both of them, as seen in images.

The couple, who have been married since 2010 and have four children together, put on a defiant display as they stood outside their home, held hands and kissed.
