Donald Trump is in the high risk group for people to fall badly ill with Covid-19.

It was announced in the early hours of this morning that the President of the US and his wife Melania had contracted the disease.

It is possible Trump caught the disease from Hope Hicks, who tested positive after travelling with him on Air Force One to a rally in Minnesota on Wednesday.

At 74-years-old Trump is firmly in the high risk category for being hospitalised and suffering bad effects having caught the coronavirus.

According to one Centre for Disease Control study (CDC), patients between the ages of 65-74 are five times more likely to be hospitalised with Covid-19 than someone aged 18 to 29.
