Easyjet passenger threatens to ‘knock out’ travellers after refusing to wear mask

Police officers were called to the Easyjet flight at Manchester Airport after they received reports of four males fighting and one being being abusive to staff and refusing to wear his face mask

An easyjet passenger who refused to wear a mask threatened  to “knock out” his fellow travellers before getting kicked off the aircraft.

Police officers were called to the Easyjet flight at Manchester Airport after they received reports of four males fighting – one of them was John Evans, aged 29.

Whilst the three others appeared to calm down, Evans, of Conwy, continued being abusive to staff and refused to wear his face mask.

Despite being warned by the cabin crew numerous times, Evan continued to refuse, Manchester Magistrates Court heard.

As the officers arrived, staff pointed Evans out to them and despite asking him to leave the flight, he rejected their orders, reports the Manchester Evening News.

The court heard that it was ‘clear’ that Evans was drunk, in that his eyes were glazed over, his speech was slurred and he was unsteady on his feet.
