The Only Way Is Essex icon Gemma Collins has revealed how she faced horrific abuse when on a recent trip to an airport as she was shamed for her weight

Reality TV star Gemma Collins has shared a troubling tale of when she was trailed and verbally abused by a stranger.

The former The Only Way Is Essex star, 39, has been no stranger to charged encounters online and in-person.

Now, in an interview with Glamour, Gemma has described a disturbing time she had at an airport.

“I was at an airport recently, this guy kept trying to take a picture and he was filming. He just started chanting, ‘fatty, fatty, fatty’,” she remembered.

“Who behaves like this? He thought it was bothering me, but it wasn’t because I’ve heard it all before.

“I just thought, ‘gosh, how awful that you live with this feeling inside of you’.”
