Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade has approved the immediate sack of his Special Assistant on Forest Security, Mr. Thomas Obi Tawo aka General Iron.
A statement issued on Friday, August 6, by the Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Christian Ita, directed Mr Tawo to hand over every government property in his possession to the Office of the Chief of Staff.
General Iron was accused of leading the hoodlums who attacked Barrister Mark Obi, an ex-lawmaker and former Special Adviser to Governor Ayade on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)
He is reported to have supervised the assault on some senior citizens on May 20, 2020.
