The newly launched beer was designed to offer people looking to cut back on booze a way to keep drinking their favourite pint.

But a problem has meant that the current cans have been recalled.

A message on the Guinness website reads: “We wanted to let you know that as a precautionary measure we are recalling Guinness 0.0 in Great Britain because of a microbiological contamination which may make some cans of Guinness 0.0 unsafe to consume.

“If you have bought Guinness 0.0 do not consume it.”

Guinness launched the new beer just two weeks ago
