The Co-director of Enugu Gustavo by Cubana nightclub, Dr Dubem Oguegbu aka Dubby Gustavo was recently elected the National President of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Alumni Association and already, he appears to have hit the ground running with a number of plans and initiatives up his sleeve.

The entertainment-loving former banker told Potpourri in a chat that his primary mandate is to mobilize all alumni members of the institution to assist the Vice Chancellor and management to bring rapid development within and outside the school, including creating and offering employment to the institution’s graduates.

“As the president, I plan to harmonize various chapters of the association to give back to the institution that made us and to do that we need all members who are doing well. We have marshalled out plans on how to harmonize the needs of the institution through the management of the school to bring rapid development,” he said.

Dr Oguegbu said he has always been involved in the development process of the school and the association, noting it was one of the reasons he was elected to chaperone the affairs of the Alumni Association.

“I have offered and will continue to bring about quality leadership to COOU Alumni Association. I’m at the forefront of organizing meetings, attending meetings and attending to most of the correspondences brought to the association.

“I have  attracted lots of collaborations to assist in infrastructural development, scholarship to indigent students with high CGPA, and face-lifting of the administrative building of the Institution, ” Oguegbu remarked.

According to him, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University  is one of the best growing State-owned institutions and best in Niger.

“It is known and called Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University. Established in 2000 and by next year we will be 25 years of graduating sound students that are doing our nation proud, he stated.
