Acclaimed Havard-trained leadership expert and educationist, Dr Alfred Oladapo, has opined that the rising figure of out-of-school children in Nigeria is partly because married couples do not have recreational activities to engage their minds except “beer and sex”.

According to United Nations Children Education Fund (UNICEF) survey, “one in every five of the world’s out-of-school children is in Nigeria”

Dr Oladapo,who featured as a guest on NigeriaInfo’s Hello Port Harcourt , on Wednesday, believes that among all the factors that contribute to this challenge, the activities of married couples cannot be overlooked.

“A lot of people have unwanted or children than they should have. Ask yourself one question, what recreation do a lot of people have in this country. A lot of married couples. The only recreation they have is rather beer or sex” he said.
