Residents of the Nekede area in Imo state have subtly attacked their government on the condition of their extremely bad and inaccessible road network.

Some photos trending on social media captured the critical conditions of roads in Nekede as some residents took to a muddy road to share a drink ”in celebration of the bad road.”
According to a Twitter user who shared the photos, @harri25_ wrote, “They are celebrating good Nekede Road in Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria.”

The tweet further triggered mixed reactions on the social media platform as other users trooped the comment session.

But as i type, the motorist here charge as much as #300 (three hundred naira) and a few others #400 (four hundred naira) from Umudibia Nekede to Owerri capital city.. one of the best seminary Bethel and a whole lot of other public and private establishments, yet the government hasn’t deemed it fit to fix this road for good.
