The James Bond actor’s heartbroken son Jason Connery said his beloved dad died ‘peacefully in his sleep’ while surrounded by loved ones

Sir Sean Connery had been ‘ill for some time’ before he died in the Bahamas, his son has revealed.

Jason Connery shared more details of his father’s final days after it was revealed today the much-loved James Bond actor had died at the age of 90.

Son Jason told the BBC that his dad died ‘peacefully in his sleep’ surrounded by loved ones.

Paying tribute to his film star dad, Jason said his death would be a ‘sad loss for a people around the world.’

According to Jason, Sir Sean “had many of his family who could be in the Bahamas around him” when he died overnight in Nassau.

“We are all working at understanding this huge event as it only happened so recently, even though my dad has been unwell for some time,” admitted Jason.
