Jenny Lenzini was riding on a motorcycle that lost control and crashed into a tree, with the reporter dying in hospital in Sarasota

Florida based news reporter Jenny Lenzini, has been tragically killed after the motorcycle she was riding on crashed into a tree.

WBBH-TV has reported that the 26-year-old had only been working with Waterman Broadcasting since July, with the company operating the channels NBC2 and ABC7 in southwest Florida.

While the driver died at the scene, Jenny was flown to a hospital in Sarasota but later succumbed to her injuries.

WBBH-TV paid tribute to the reporter, saying in a statement: “Jenny covered stories that mattered most to our community in Charlotte County and Lee County.

“She was always diligent in her work and made sure you knew how grateful and thankful she was to be reporting in Southwest Florida.”
