Louise Hosie says she was left both embarrassed and in stitches when she realised her five-year-old daughter had been taking her Ann Summers ‘Heat Wave’ lubricant to school as hand sanitiser

A mum has said she feels ‘mortified’ after discovering her daughter has been taking her Ann Summers lubricant to school after mistaking it for hand sanitiser – and had even shared it with her classmates.

Louise Hosie discovered a bottle of ‘Heat Wave’ lube in her daughter Summer’s jacket pocket when she returned home from school, with the five-year-old explaining she was trying to follow coronavirus rules so she didn’t “get the germs”.

The mum, who said she found it “really funny” as well as fearing what the teachers must had thought if they had seen it, thinks Summer spotted the brand name and assumed it was for her.

Louise, 36, said she had bought a balloon for £20 from Ann Summers which is popped to unveil mystery items hidden inside, with hers containing the “hot and tingly” lubricant as well as a bottle of perfume.

Summer said she liked it “because it felt hot and smooth”
