A mum was left feeling horrified after sharing a photo of her daughter’s lunch online and finding the comments filled with vile abuse from trolls

After finding a meal that her ‘fussy’ child would finally eat, a parent took to social media to share a look at what was on her plate.

Lauren Denholm, a mum-of-two from West Lothian, saw a post on Snapchat, where a mum had made a mixture of packet macaroni cheese and Heinz tomato soup.

She showed the image to her four-year-old daughter, Wynter, who immediately  pleaded with her mum to make it.

Pleased that her daughter had been excited about food for once, she hoped her post might help other struggling mums and dads.

But she was horrified that her photo instead sparked outrage and she was sent a barrage of abuse, reports The Daily Record.

Hundreds shared the post and a number of disgusting comments were left under the photo, with trolls branding the dish “paedo food” and calling the mum “manky”.

One person said: “What sort of wrong yin type of creature would do that! F******g boggin.”
