Strictly Come Dancing’s Nicola Adams and Katya Jones will be allowed to return for the final after being forced to exit when Katya tested positive for Covid

Strictly Come Dancing star Nicola Adams and her partner Katya Jones were booted off the show this week after Katya tested positive for Covid-19.

This meant they had to permanently drop out of the competition as the rules stated it would not be fair if they self-isolated for two weeks and then returned with a spot on the show.

But it has now been reported that the producers have made a U-turn on their decision and will let the pair return for the final of the show.

Nicola and Katya will now reportedly be allowed to come back and perform on the final of the show.

A source told The Sun : “Strictly bosses knew as soon as Nicola had to leave that they wanted to do something special for her.

“The rules mean she can’t come back to the show next year but they’re planning to bring her back with Katya for the final.”

Both ladies have been self-isolating separately following their sudden departure, although Nicola tested negative for Covid-19.
