A Nigerian lady identified as Nora Stone has described as stupid the idea of a man collecting a gift he bought his lover because the relationship didn’t work out. Taking to her Twitter page to speak on the issue, Nora said such act is gutter behaviour, adding that anyone who does it needs to heal from a mental disorder.

It makes no sense at all. “Strong gutter behavior. And no it’s not pettiness, it’s sheer stupidity & nonsense. And I hope you heal from it if you do this. Because you dey ment.”

While some disagreed with Nora, others agreed with her as they flooded the comment section of the post with their thoughts. @Johnbull409 wrote: “Because y’all don’t even have anything you buy . Even God collect what he gives to you when you go against him. Ask saul.”

@Iam_DukeDarls commented: “The day women start giving more in a relationship then we might give a listening ear to wat u just wrote here. “You can’t dictate to me how to grief my breakup, if taking back the gifts I got you will make me feel a little bit better then I’m doing it, my mental health matters.”

@I_am_ekene said: “If you will confiscate what you brought for your babe during a misunderstanding or after a break up, you are better off not gifting her in the first instance. “… for your mental health.”

@NyemEgoMbute reacted: “If women gave more in relationships, they would be the ones taking back their gifts. But Nigerian women are about taking, and that’s why this stone is crying here.”

In a similar news, there was a mild drama at an undisclosed restaurant somewhere in Nigeria when a young man crashed a date between his girlfriend and another man. Decked in African attire, the young man walked into the restaurant and approached his girlfriend to retrieve the items he bought for her. The items included bone straight hair, phone and slippers. Despite the lady’s protest, the man ensured he collected the items.
