This is the moment French police shoot dead a killer who decapitated a history teacher near his school.

Footage shared on social media shows a police car and several police officers shouting and aiming guns at the suspect – who, however, cannot be seen in the clip.

The video, filmed from a distance, shows officers repeatedly telling the man to throw his weapon, which he refuses to do.

One of them then shouts “I’ll shoot”, before getting closer to the killer and firing a few times.

The suspect, who according to reports was an 18-year-old born in Moscow, was shot dead at the scene, a few miles from where he killed the history teacher.

The killer stabbed the middle school history teacher to death in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, a residential suburb north-west of Paris on Friday afternoon in a brutal terror attack.
