This Morning has been hit with Ofcom complaints after some viewers seriously contested a piece of advice shared about travel.

Travel expert Simon Calder was welcomed by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield to discuss possibilities for a getaway during the half-term holidays, considering Covid restrictions.

But some viewers claimed it was “unacceptable” for Simon to suggest holiday-makers could visit mid-Wales as areas of south and north Wales are under local lockdown restrictions.

Some fans insisted that it was wrong to suggest holidays in the country where so many neighbouring regions were under restrictions.

Machynlleth in Powys and Aberystwyth in Ceredigion were both regions Simon floated for viewers to visit.
