A police officer allegedly armed his young daughter with a gun and told her to shoot anyone who came near the house as he performed an ‘exorcism’ on his son.

Christopher Dougherty’s daughter says he gave her a rifle, bulletproof vest and Kevlar helmet and claimed the house was full of demons, according to an arrest warrant.

The 37-year-old was fired from the police force due to “unsatisfactory performance” following the incident over the weekend, with officers arresting him after allegedly finding evidence of child abuse, reports WFTV9 ABC.

Neighbours called 911 after hearing an alarm going off in Dougherty’s home in Orange County, Florida.
