Prince Harry became close to President-Elect Joe Biden’s wife, Dr Jill Biden, through their involvement in his Invictus Games

As Barack Obama’s Vice President, Joe Biden was at the centre of American politics for eight years.

He was at the heart of historical decisions, attended national events and represented his country at occasions around the globe.

And he also got to meet some of the most powerful and famous faces in the world – including Prince Harry.

In fact, Joe’s wife, Dr Jill Biden, has ended up becoming good friends with the Duke of Sussex, and the Democrat has made a cheeky joke about how much time they’ve spent together.

Jill first met Harry in 2013 during his royal tour of the States.

During the trip he attended a reception for British and US wounded warriors in Washington, which Joe and Jill were also at as VP and Second Lady.

It was on this visit that Harry attended the Warrior Games, and saw how sport can help people suffering from injuries and illness first hand.
