Seven passengers were injured in a lone accident involving a commercial bus on the Third Mainland Bridge in the early hours of Monday, January 18.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) said the agency’s Tiger Team at the accident scene, discovered that the commercial bus with registration number FST 434 XV rammed into a barrier used for road diversion due to over speeding, resulting in 7 passengers sustaining injuries.

Fortunately, no fatalities were recorded and all the victims were stabilised and taken to the Trauma Centre by the agency’s officials and paramedics.

The affected vehicle has been successfully recovered and towed with the use the agency’s light tow truck.

The agency encouraged all motorists to drive within speed limits to avoid loss of lives and properties.
