Tesco staff stood back and watched in despair as a man went on a rampage emptying shelves onto the floor in a store.

The incident happened at a Tesco Express store on Uxbridge Road, Ealing, West London.

He began throwing items on the floor after being asked to wear a face mask, according to reports.

He was filmed in the confectionery aisle, dragging packets of crisps and popcorn onto the floor and creating chaos.

In video footage of the incident last month, staff can be seen looking helpless while watching.

A man was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and further arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm in relation to an alleged assault on a staff member at the store.
