According to The Athletic, the three players tested positive but were not found to have broken any rules and were given the all clear to carry on playing by the UK Anti-Doping (UKAD).
Two of the three banned substances found were methylphenidate and methylprednisolone. The former is often found in Ritalin with the stimulant most commonly used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency) have this included on their banned list because it has the possibility to enhance stamina and power.
The second banned substance listed is usually used to treat inflammatory and allergy issues. It can, however, help athletes train at a higher level.
The report claims that the third substance was withheld by UKAD because it is subject to an on-going investigation.
