There is less than 48 hours remaining of the transfer window for clubs to get new signings over the line

It is the penultimate day of the transfer window and clubs up and down the country will be trying to push through some deals before Monday’s 11pm deadline.

Manchester United have struck a deal for striker Edinson Cavani but a move for Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho remains doubtful as the clubs struggle to agree a fee.

Arsenal’s hopes of signing Lyon’s Houssem Aouar appear to have been dashed after the player confirmed he is staying in Ligue 1.

Chelsea have rejected a huge offer for Callum Hudson-Odoi from Bayern Munich, but the Bundesliga giants could test their resolve further with another bid in the next two days.

Elsewhere, Liverpool could offload some fringe players before the window closes.

Man Utd ‘agree deal’ to sign Pellistri

Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign Uruguayan winger Facundo Pellistri, according to a report from his homeland.

According to 360APROKO, the 18-year-old has agreed a five-year deal to move this summer, but his club Penarol are keen to keep him until January.

It is claimed that United want to sign the winger now and develop him in their own youth set-up before potentially promoting him to the first-team squad.

Pellistri also attracted the attention of Manchester City and Newcastle earlier this year.
