The Met Office has issued heavy rain warnings for parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland with two inches of rain expected to fall today amid a barrage of flood warnings across the whole UK

A fresh barrage of rain is expected this week

BBC forecaster Louise Lear said after a mild and bright weekend “the weather story is set to change with the week ahead”.
