The weather appears to be becoming more settled as heavy showers are moved aside for thick fog, morning frost and cloud as high pressure moves in but brisk breezes will keep things feeling chilly

Dense fog is cloaking parts of Britain this morning with the Met Office issuing a weather warning urging motorists to take extra caution.

The Environment Agency continues to issue warnings about flooding, with three in place for today, alongside 13 alerts – following days of rain earlier in the week.
